What Homingo Learn collects, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
Who we are
Homingo Learn (learn.homingo.co.in) is run by Homingo. Questions about your data go to official@homingo.co.in.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address and name. You sign in with a code we email to you; there is no password. It is the same Homingo account you may use for Homingo Hack Days.
- Enrolments: the course, the name for your certificate, the amount and the payment reference.
- Seat requests: your name, email, where you study or work, and what you tell us about what you would like to build and why the fee is hard.
- Notify-me requests: your email and what you asked to hear about.
- Reviews you choose to write, with the display name you give.
- Basic technical data needed to keep the site safe, such as a protected (hashed) form of your network address on forms, used only to stop abuse.
Payments
Payments are handled by Razorpay. We never see or store your card, UPI or bank details; we receive only a payment reference and whether it succeeded.
Why we use it
To run your account and enrolments, issue certificates, reply to seat requests, send the emails you asked for, and keep the site secure. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Young learners
Learners under 18 may join only with the consent of a parent or guardian, which we ask you to confirm when you sign in or request a seat (Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023). We collect no more from them than we need to run their course.
How long we keep it
Account and enrolment records are kept while your account is open and as long as the law requires for payment records. Seat and notify-me requests are kept only as long as they are useful for replying to you.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data, or to stop emailing you, by writing to official@homingo.co.in. We will do it and confirm by email.
